Bios
Darina DeBenedictis is a Teaching Artist and the owner of Spark Learning. She has 5+ years of experience creating and teaching my own unique curriculum to children of all ages. Her STEAM-based programs focus on the concept of wonder and the importance of being inquisitive. Being curious is the foundation of learning, and all of her lessons aim to spark that curiosity. Her programs are based on the belief that when children understand that their questions and ideas have significance, they will become much more confident as learners and artists.
Simone Liberty is a Teaching Artist specializing in Arts Integration for Dance and Musical Theatre. She has 8 years of experience teaching in classrooms, summer camps, afterschool programs, and - a personal favorite - choreographing for Youth Musical Theatre programs. Her work has led her to work with organizations that are doing wonderful work in our state and beyond, including ArtsNOW, The Charleston Gaillard Center, Engaging Creative Minds, Porter Gaud Schools, Spoleto Festival USA, and others. She is currently based in Charleston, where she leads Creative Living - an organization built to support the careers of Teaching Artists here in South Carolina. Simone believes that Art is for All, meaning that everyone has an artistic soul, and she finds her calling in helping people of all ages to never forget their creative nature.
