List of Spark Learning Camps Offered:
Week 2 (June 22-26) Tabitha
World’s Most Venomous Creatures (Co-ed grades Kindergarten & 1st)
Are you the type of kid who actually likes spiders? Are fangs fascinating? This cool
and unique camp will explore the world’s most dangerous and venomous creatures
alive. From the Box Jellyfish to the innocent-looking tree frog, small creatures can
pack a big punch.
Week 4 (July 13-17) Tabitha
Tie Dye (Co-ed grades Kindergarten & 1st)
Get ready for a super fun and colorful week at Tie Dye Camp with artist Cat
Brantley! In this hands-on, creative camp, we will explore the vibrant world of
fabric dyeing with classic tie-dye, traditional indigo dyeing, and fabric collage to make unique, one-of-a-kind creations. Campers will learn ancient and modern techniques of fabric dyeing, using a variety of clips and blinds used in the traditional Japanese Shibori tie-dye methods. Campers will also experiment with indigo dye, a deep blue natural dye, to create stunning indigo pieces. We will have some fun experimenting with batik resist
methods, and finish off with a vibrant fabric collage, layering different materials
dyed throughout the week to make colorful, textured designs.
Please provide a 100% cotton t-shirt in your child’s size for the tie-dye t-shirt,
pre-washed in warm, soapy water and dried. All other materials will be provided.
Week 5 (July 20-24) Tabitha
Splash! (Co-ed Pre-K)
Join us for a splash-filled adventure with water balloons, water guns, and slip ’n’
slides galore! Campers will dive into the water as we race, play, and cool off under
the summer sun. Get ready to laugh, splash, and get absolutely drenched in fun!
